Cinco de Summer at El Charro

Of course, El Charro’s annual Cinco de Summer is now in full swing, too. If you’re not familiar with the historic restaurant’s summer special, Cinco de Summer, the promo, which is available until August 31, includes five dishes and five cocktails for $5 a piece.

This year’s Cinco de summer includes:

  • Pitaya Wrap – prickly pear bbq pork, chipotle tortilla, spiced slaw, queso cotija, fresh greens
  • Ensalada de Sandia – Fresh seasonal greens, chunks of crisp watermelon, candied pepita brittle, queso fresco and house made citrus dressing (+$3 add grilled chicken)
  • Chile Chicken Rice Bowl – Lean shredded chicken cooked in mild chile Colorado, arroz Sonora, black beans, sour cream & pico salsa garnish
  • #The520 – Yes we did! We married our area code’s two most iconic dishes; our legendary chimichanga and the king of street food, the Sonoran hot dog into one amazing recipe. Remember, you had it here first! #the520 is the newest Tucson legend!
  • ¡Carnitas en Fuego! – Single taco on local corn tortilla, featuring our new carnitas en fuego made with 5 different chiles to give it that special summer kick! Served with jalapeño salsa & black beans
  • The Selma Hayak – Silver Patrón margarita over rocks with ground cayenne pepper & agave
  • The Coronado – Muddled watermelon, basil, fresh citrus & agave
  • Dragoon IPA – Local, award winning IPA
  • Day Drink w/Corona Light! –  Two for $5 daily until 3pm
  • The Cuba Libre2 – Myers’s & Pyrat Rum, Pepsi Cola, and fresh lime.

The original El Charro is located at 311 N. Court Ave. For more information, visit elcharrocafe.com.
