Build-your-own Neapolitan-style pizza is making its way to Catalina.
Jeff Bridge, co-owner of It’s Greek to Me, is opening Catalina Craft Pizza at 15930 N. Oracle Rd., Ste 178, which previously housed Vitello’s Ristorante Italiano.
The grand opening 2 – 7 p.m. on March 11 will also feature a block party with live music from Cadillac Mountain Bluegrass Band from 2 – 4 p.m. and Heather Hardy & the Lil’ Mama Band from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Live music will also be hosted most Saturday evenings.
While pizza isn’t new to the area, Catalina Craft Pizza hopes to stand out with its emphasis on quality and locality.
“We plan on using nothing but the freshest locally-sourced ingredients as much as possible,” Bridge said.
However, craft is the main focus.
“Craft is our craft, it’s what we do,” Bridge said. “We emphasize ‘craft’ for customers as well because they’ll craft their own pizza.”
Catalina Craft Pizza will feature a brew pub feel with craft beer available via Catalina Brewing Company and two large televisions to watch sports. However, the space will remain family-friendly and also offer classic Italian cuisine.
Part of proceeds from every pizza sold will benefit IMPACT of Southern Arizona, a nonprofit organization that provides help to families in northwest Tucson via services such as a community clothing bank and food bank program.
Catalina Craft Pizza is located at 15930 N. Oracle Rd., Ste 178. For more information, call (520) 825-0140 or visit catalinacraftpizza.com.
