Regional restaurant review program, Check, Please! Arizona, which includes shows in Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Kansas City, and, now, Arizona, is seeking nominations for local and independently owned Tucson restaurants.
For those unfamiliar with the publicly broadcast show, Check, Please! began in Chicago. The format features three reviewers, along with a host, who discuss a number of restaurants in which they’ve all had the chance to dine at.
In 2001, a “lost” Chicago episode resurfaced, which featured then Illinois senator, Barack Obama.

Eight, Arizona PBS is issuing a call for nominations of local and independently owned Tucson restaurants to be featured on Check, Please! Arizona – and we want to hear from you. Share your favorite Tucson-area find with Arizona viewers and get your chance to be featured on this Emmy Award-winning restaurant review series.

Anyone who hasn’t previously appeared on the show is welcome to submit additional nominations anytime!Check, Please! Arizona producers will choose a trio of guests who will each dine at and then review the three local Tucson restaurants they recommended to each other, in a roundtable discussion with series host Robert McGrath, an internationally acclaimed James Beard Award-winning chef. The next guest could be you!
