The local bento cake shop created by Christa Lebron is all things tasty, bright, and creative.
There’s a chance you’ve seen the different shades of pink poppin’ up at local markets over the last couple of years (including our quarterly Vegan Night Market). Perhaps, you’ve caught a glance at their hot pink food trailer off Broadway Boulevard near Rosemont.
Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of popping our heads into Chez Peachy‘s brand-new brick-and-mortar location at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street.
Chez Peachy has moved in at 501 N. Sixth Ave. — where the former Oralia Coffee+Kitchen once was and across the street from where The Royal Room rests. It’s a bright pink palace with pink walls, pink flowers decking those walls, pink flowers dangling from the ceiling, pink furniture, etc.
The new space is bright and its Grand Opening is from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. Stop by the bakery early because they tend to sell out quickly!
If you recall the layout of Oralia, there’s a coffee/café counter on one side and a dining room area on the other. Chez Peachy has made full use of both spaces. So, plenty of seating to chomp down on your sweet treats!
The menu remains much of the same with bento cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and various beverages. However, with the space they now have at the corner of Sixth and Sixth, expect new varieties to the Chez Peachy staples.
Aside from the cookies, many items on the menu are made vegan.
