BOCA Tacos y Tequila executive chef Maria Mazon will compete on Food Network cooking game show Chopped. The episode will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, January 9.
“It was a bucket list goal checked,” Mazon said. “Humbled to meet people and see how things were done. It was fun, I personally had fun. It is nuts how things are done behind cameras. Makes the restaurant life easy.”
Will Mazon make the critical error of serving Chopped judge Scott Conant chopped raw red onions?
Considering this isn’t Mazon’s first rodeo with the Food Network, let’s hope not. Since she can turn even Girl Scout cookies into delicious salsa, we have our fingers crossed.
Food Network’s Ginormous Food filmed at BOCA earlier this year, while Food Network Canada’s You Gotta Eat Here filmed at BOCA in 2016.
