Coffee & Tea Shop Week brews up local deals across Tucson for 12 Weeks of Foodie Summer

With Vegan Week has wrapping up, Coffee & Tea Shop Week gives Tucson’s café scene its moment in the spotlight.

Running June 8 through 14, Coffee & Tea Shop Week celebrates the local roasters, teahouses, and neighborhood cafés that fuel the city’s mornings and afternoons. Whether you prefer a single-origin pour-over, a house-blended chai, or something cold and creative off a seasonal menu, this week brings plenty of reasons to step inside a new spot or revisit a favorite.

As with every week in the 12 Weeks of Foodie Summer campaign, diners can upload receipts at summer.tucsonfoodie.com for a chance to win weekly prizes and roll entries into the grand prize drawing at the end of the summer.

Al Gusto Coffee Company

Al Gusto Coffee Company, a Marana-based mobile coffee shop, offers all large iced lattes for $6 this weekend only at two pop-up locations.

  • 7-10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, at Oro Valley Aquatic Center, 23 W. Calle Concordia, Oro Valley
  • 9 a.m.-noon on Sunday, June 14, at La Roca Tucson, 3696 W. Orange Grove Road, Tucson

Coffee Times

Coffee Times features a special drink menu for Coffee & Tea Shop Week with four seasonal options.

  • Strawberries and Cream Matcha: white chocolate and strawberries layered with matcha
  • Berry Lemonade Energizer: berry syrup, lemonade, and Red Bull
  • Summer Sunrise: strawberry, peach, and OJ with Red Bull
  • Lemon Bar Shaken Espresso: white chocolate and lemon mixed with a frothy shot of espresso, a dash of milk, and spiced brown sugar

Coffee & Tea Shop Week marks the fourth of 12 themed weeks running through Aug. 9. Participants snap a photo of any qualifying receipt, upload it at summer.tucsonfoodie.com, and enter to win weekly and grand prizes.

After Coffee & Tea Shop Week wraps on June 14, Happy Hour Week runs June 15 through 21, followed by Frozen Dessert Week, Burger Week, New-to-Me Week, Italian Week, Breakfast & Brunch Week, Steak & Carne Asada Week, and Sonoran Week.

Enjoy tasting stations from participating Sonoran Restaurant Week restaurants, plus a dedicated station from The Treasury’s culinary team. Sip on two signature cocktails featuring @donjuliotequila and @rombauervineyards, with beverage service by @breakthrubevaz. 

The night also includes live music from a DJ, photo booths, and access to all three floors of one of downtown Tucson’s most historic venues.

@Casaveratucson opens Aug. 12 at 7265 N. La Cholla Blvd., bringing regional Mexican cuisine to the former Tamarind space.

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 200 guests with a large patio, and the design draws inspiration from a warm, old-world hacienda. The family behind Casa Vera is also known locally for Guadalajara Original Grill.

Casa Vera will be open daily from 3-9 p.m. Reservations are available through @opentable or by emailing reservations@casaveratucson.com.
