You can have your cake and eat it first.
Charitable and self-indulgent event Eat Dessert First Day is taking place on Friday, April 21.
To participate eat dessert first for lunch or dinner at one of the following restaurants while celebrating the presence of family and friends in your life:
- 47 Scott
- Charro Steak
- Contigo Latin Kitchen
- Feast
- Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse
- Goodness Tucson
- The Grill at Hacienda Del Sol
- Kingfisher
- OBON Sushi Bar Ramen
- Prep & Pastry
- Renee’s Organic Oven
- Sundaze Yogurt
- Tavolino Ristorante Italiano
A portion of proceeds from dessert sales will be donated to the UA Steele Children’s Research Center. Since the first Eat Dessert First Day two years ago, $15,000 was raised for the research center. The event hopes to each the same goal this year.
Eat Dessert First Day began in 2015 in honor of Dana Morgan, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of four. The day honors Dana’s enthusiasm for life, her appreciation for the fun from doing the unexpected, and the importance she placed on spending time with family and friends.
