Local coffee shop Exo Roast Co. announced the opening of their second location downtown at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 12.
The new location at 236 S. Scott Ave. is a small kiosk at the Bring Funeral Home building to the right of the entrance of the Owls Club. Outdoor seating is available.
“We want it to be a nice neighborhood place for people that live in Armory Park and Barrio Viejo,” said Amy Smith, manager and co-owner of Exo.
The drink menu will be exactly the same with a selection of pastries as well.
A lack of a kitchen and dishwasher means only disposable cups are available at the moment, Smith said. However, Exo’s goal is to transition to a disposable-free cafe where customers are encouraged to bring their own cups.
Operating hours are 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. daily.
