Food Network’s Ginormous Food television series seeks out the largest, tastiest eats in America.
Think Tucson and the towering OMFG burger from Lindy’s on 4th is one of the first iconic mountains of food to come to mind.
Ginormous Food will begin filming this weekend at Lindy’s, but will also make stops at BOCA Tacos y Tequila and Stray Dogs.
“We are just really excited to be a part of this episode with BOCA and Stray Dogs,” said Lindon Reilly, owner of his eponymous restaurant Lindy’s. “And we will be building more than just our big burger. We get to feature some of our others as well, so I’m excited about that.”
Guests can swing by during filming at noon on April 7 for Lindy’s, 11:30 a.m. on April 8 for BOCA, and 11 a.m. on April 9 for Stray Dogs.
“It feels great as a chef and owner to be recognized like this,” said Maria Mazon, chef and owner of BOCA. “And also for all my staff, they see that hard works pays off.”
Mazon will feature a giant taco dog on a 14-inch tortilla for the occasion.
“We’re excited for them to come,” said Lauren Valenzuela, marketing manager for Stray Dogs. “It’s going to be really fun. Anyone can come out for filming.”
Stray Dogs will exhibit a 16-inch giant doughnut for the show.
