Come get spellbound and learn about mezcal in the desert vibes at the eclectic Crisol Bar tucked in the historic Barrio Viejo in Tucson. Proceeds from this mezcal tasting will benefit Borderlands Restoration Network’s AZ Gives Day campaign.

Cost: Tastings are $30 per person per flight of four and will support BRN’s mission to rebuild healthy ecosystems, restore habitat for plants and wildlife, and reconnect our border communities to the land through shared learning.

CANINE CARNIVAL BENEFITTING CODY’S FRIENDS

Saturday, April 1 from 3 – 6 p.m.

Join HighWire for a carnival supporting pet-friendly, non-profit organizations in their efforts to rescue, save and promote the humane treatment of our furry friends. There will be local vendors, specialty cocktails, and more.

They’ll also be collecting pet food for Cody’s Friends.

COCKTAIL CLASS AT THE MOONSTONE

Wednesday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m.
The Moonstone, 930 E. 2nd St.

Learn to create some of The Moonstone’s iconic cocktails: Moonstone’s Desert Rose and a classic Old Fashioned.

One of The Moonstone’s head mixologists will lead you in a step-by-step creation of two iconic cocktails on their Southwestern-inspired menu. This class is for guests of all ages, and is sure to make you a hit at your next soiree!

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors. Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.
