The Independent Distillery is celebrating its one-year anniversary by releasing Batch #1 GIN, on Friday, September 9.
The celebration will feature spirit tastings, giveaways, and music through Saturday, September 9.
The gin features a secret combination of 10 different botanicals. Other distilled spirits from Independent are in the works.
Owner Donald Northrup opened Independent in 2015.
Independent has operated as a bar since its opening, but Batch is its first produced spirit.

Friday, September 9
- Noon – 5 p.m.: Spirit tastings from the Batch #1 GIN
- 8 – 10 p.m.: Bulleit Bourbon giveaways
- 10 -.m. – 2 a.m.: DJ Spyder Rhodes
- 10 p.m. – midnight: Nolet Gin giveaways
- Barrio Brewing Co. giveaways all night long
Saturday, September 10
- Noon – 5 p.m.: Spirit tastings from the Batch #1 GIN
- 8 p.m. – midnight: Hudson Bourbon giveaways
- 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.: DJ Apprentice
