Tucson diners can sip, savor, and celebrate New Orleans culture when the Parish hosts Stormin’ the Sazerac from Sept. 23-28.
The Parish’s event pays tribute to “Stormin’ the Sazerac” in 1949, when women stormed The Roosevelt Hotel’s Sazerac Bar in New Orleans. That moment marked the first time women could enjoy the famed cocktail in the same space as men. The annual tradition now honors both the drink and the progress it symbolizes.
In honor of the event, the Parish will serve $10 Sazeracs all week, pairing bold spirits with a touch of Crescent City flair
Featured Dishes
Alongside cocktails, the kitchen will roll out Louisiana-inspired specials:
- Toulouse Street Tarts: Mini desserts with peanut butter whiskey or blood orange, topped with mascarpone cream
- BBQ Shrimp: Gulf shrimp sautéed in spicy butter sauce with a crusty French baguette
- Blackened Redfish: Cornmeal-crusted fish with crawfish étouffée and Aztec rice
- Smoked Cochon Steak: 12-ounce bone-in Duroc pork with red-eye gravy and stone-ground grits
In addition to the $10 Sazeracs, The Parish will feature Big Easy classic eats and happy hour all day for ladies.
The Parish is located at 6453 N. Oracle Rd. Keep up with the Parish on Instagram.
