Fifteen years ago, Leza Carter planted the seed of a dream of Tucson Village Farm (TVF). She never imagined that it would blossom into what it is today.
Today, we care for more than 10 acres of land, growing several fruits and vegetables. Our 4-H Healthy Living Center offers culinary classes and hands-on learning experiences. We educate 15,000 people annually, providing 65,000 hours of programmatic engagement. Our farm provides an empowering, supportive space where youth can learn valuable skills and grow as individuals.
And on top of all that, we are excited to announce that Friday, May 31 is the start of our summer camp season 2024. This year, we are welcoming a record-breaking 608 campers — a 25% increase from last year!
Our growth and success are all thanks to you. We appreciate the community’s continued support and all the ways you help us thrive.
We hope to remind you to nurture the seeds you wish to grow. With time and consistency, surely good things will grow.

FREE Summer Events for National Guard Families
Multiple Dates

National Guard families are invited to join us at the 4-H Ropes Course for an exciting evening adventure on the Zip Line and Ropes Course! Participants will gear up with a harness and helmet, connect to our rope safety system, and ride the Zip Line, along with other climbing elements, against a stunning sunset backdrop.
All climbing gear is provided, and these events are completely free for National Guard families.
Ropes Course / Zip Line Dates:
- Thursday, June 6 from 6 – 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 3 from 6 – 8 p.m.
Market on the Move
Saturday, June 8 from 7 – 9 a.m.

For a donation of $10, you can get up to 60 pounds of fresh produce and food that you can share with your friends, families, neighbors, and people in need.
Here’s how it works:
Drive up and make your $10 donation per order (cash only at this time). Then pop your trunk, pull forward and we’ll load your vehicle!
Everything is prepackaged and ready to go. Much of the food is rescued so it doesn’t end up in the landfill. We often don’t know what we will have until the morning of the event, and it varies month to month. Please arrive early as our produce is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This event starts promptly at 8 am and goes until 10 am or until supplies last. If you join us later during the event, be prepared to wait in line as we do our best to rapidly fill cars with produce.
