Whiskey Del Bac celebrates 15 years with a distillery party from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The Whiskey Del Bac 15th anniversary celebration takes place at 2106 N. Forbes Blvd. Guests can tour the distillery, hear team talks, taste award-winning whiskeys, and enjoy live music.
A distillery party for 15 years of whiskey
Whiskey Del Bac launched in 2011 as a family-run distillery. Co-founder Stephen Paul and his daughter Amanda built the brand around mesquite-smoked American single malt. The distillery says it is celebrating 15 years of “sharing the flavors and spirit of the Sonoran Desert.”
Doors open at 2 p.m. Guests can see the distillery and hear talks from key team members, including Master Distiller and Blender Mark Vierthaler. A special outdoor bar, built for the event, pours beer and wine from local partners.
Chefs and live music
The Cat Mountain Rounders play live music from 2 to 4 p.m. Four Tucson chefs serve food from 3 to 6 p.m.:
Chef Devon Sanner
Chef Mat Cable
Chef Travis Peters
Limited edition 15th anniversary whiskey
Guests can buy a limited edition 15th Anniversary Whiskey exclusively at the event. The distillery makes only 500 bottles. Each guest can buy two bottles on the day of the event.
Guests who pre-order a bottle with their ticket receive a bottle signed by Paul and Vierthaler. Pre-order buyers can still purchase two additional bottles at the party, for up to three total.
Tickets and getting home safely
Tickets cost $65. Each ticket covers entry, food, and one alcoholic beverage. Additional beer, wine, whiskey, and cocktails are available for purchase. Furthermore, 25% of the proceeds from all bottles sold at the event will also be donated to Tucson City of Gastronomy, the main partner for the celebration.
The distillery offers a $5 Uber credit to every guest who buys a cocktail. Guests can enjoy the afternoon and plan a ride home. Buy tickets through the Whiskey Del Bac website at whiskeydelbac.com.
