Local distillery Three Wells Distilling Company announced plans to open a tasting room downtown at 13 N. Stone Ave. called Series 19 in early 2018.

The 800-square-foot space will showcase, serve, and sell craft spirits and cocktails exclusively from Arizona-based distilleries.

“We felt that by using the name Series 19 we can help educate the community on the phenomenal progress Arizona is making with regard to craft liquor,” co-founder of Three Wells Chris Dudding said in a press release.

The name Series 19 is based on the liquor license for an offsite tasting room for farm wineries or craft distilleries as an extension to their master license. Additionally, it allows license holders to serve cocktails for on-premise consumption and also sell bottles-to-go for off-premise consumption.

“This is all about supporting the broader distiller community statewide by bringing their products to Tucson and giving Southern Arizonans the opportunity to experience the state’s burgeoning craft spirits movement in one place,” Dudding said.
