Opened in 2015 by brothers Mark and Eric Erman, Ermanos Craft Beer & Wine Bar, which is a play on words combining the brothers’ last name with the Spanish word for brothers, “hermanos,” gets a lot of things right.
A quality ingredient-focused menu that’s not too big or too small, coupled with an ever rotating draft beer list makes Ermanos a top pick. And what the wine list lacks for in size, it more than makes up for in quality. Add to that a wine storage system that ensures all wines by the glass are served as if the bottle was just uncorked (and let to breathe briefly), and an intimate, modern aesthetic, you have a restaurant that’s easy to enjoy for a large variety of palates and preferences.
While it’s Tucson casual pretty much anywhere you go in this town, save for high-end steakhouses, Ermanos feels a little more upscale than your typical beer and bottle shop – which they also happen to be. Pick up a growler or variety pack of bottles.
There’s live music on occasion, a great, small patio in back and all the people watching you could ever ask for.
Ermanos Craft Beer & Wine Bar is located on Historic Fourth Avenue at 220 N. 4th Avenue. Open from 11 a.m. – midnight daily, to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and to 10 p.m. on Sundays, visit ermanosbrew.com for more information.
