While Iron John's has been around for some time, opening a highly visible tasting room is a first for the brewery.

Local brewery Iron John’s Brewing Company hosted the grand opening for their downtown tasting room on Saturday, July 14.

The 35-seat space at 222 E. Congress St. previously housed Tucson Olive Central. Outlets and Wi-Fi are available for customers to get comfy and hang out with their beer.

While beer is the focus, the tasting room will be dog and family friendly. Customers are also welcome to bring outside food.

The bar features 10 Iron John’s beers on tap along with three wine taps, a rotating local cold brew coffee tap, a cider tap, and a tap with kombucha brewed by Iron John’s bartender and marketing staff Kelsey Reinhard.

Beer is still being produced at Iron John’s original location, 245 S. Plumer Ave. New beers are produced and released weekly with styles ranging from pale ales to cask-aged and sour beers.

Operating hours are 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday – Wednesday, 1 – 10 p.m. Thursday, and 1 – 11 p.m. Friday – Saturday.

Iron John’s Brewing Company Congress Tasting Room is located at 222 E. Congress St. For more information, call (520) 232-2530 or visit ironjohnsbrewing.com.
