Here’s a sweet competition with a bit of a kick at the end.
Playground Bar & Lounge and the fearless women of Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona are hosting “Cookies & Cocktails” from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30.
While the Girl Scouts are busy distributing their cherished cookies to people near and far, the annual competition allows adults to have fun, too. Each contestant will be creating a cookie-inspired cocktail and dessert for you to enjoy.
This year, there are a total of five judges, including Tucson Foodie’s big cheese Adam Lehrman, and they’ll be handing out the award for best cocktail. However, there’s still a People’s Choice Award, so get your taste buds prepared to try ’em all.
The Playground Bar & Lounge will also be offering craft beer, cookie and wine pairings, light appetizers, games, and giveaways throughout the evening.
Tickets are $55 per person.
If you can’t make it out to the competition you can still help out the Girl Scouts by donating online. Proceeds from the event will support the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and more than 5,000 girl scouts living in Southern Arizona.
