Fresh on the heels of her Iron Chef Tucson 2019 victory, Chef Chic owner-chef Wendy Gauthier announced plans to open a restaurant at 1104 S. Wilmot Rd.
“We have been in biz for 18 years, but kind of hidden,” Gauthier said. “In the last few years, we have tried to be out in the public more and now with the Iron Chef Win, we have such an amazing following. We wanted to be able to serve more people.”
The 1,190-square-feet-space previously held Holy Smokin’ Butts BBQ, which moved into a larger location in May. The new Chef Chic space is expected to open mid-November.
Inside, the space will feature family-style farm tables and seating for 30. The menu will feature breakfast and lunch options such as eggs, breakfast bowls, high protein options, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and grab-and-go meals.
Customers can order ahead or pick up what the restaurant has in stock
“I am so grateful and humbled by all the support the community has given me,” Gauthier said. “From my Iron Chef win to just all the years of being in business, we cannot wait to share our new location and future with you.”
Tentative operating hours are 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
