A new eating spot is moving in near Seis Kitchen and Zinburger at Joesler Village.

The salad and sandwich shop on Speedway, Choice Greens, is opening up a second location at 1825 E. River Rd., Suite 111 sometime soon in the summer.

The locally-owned restaurant led by Paolo DeFilippis and Jeff and Fran Katz, has been serving up the goods at their Speedway location for more than 16 years. The group also owns Graze Premium Burgers and Truland Burgers & Greens, which has a location in Chandler, too.

The new Choice Greens spot is taking over the location that previously housed Starbucks and a Rug Gallery within the Joesler Village plaza.

The space is still under construction, with a target open date being summer 2021, but the latest renderings show that it’s going to provide enough room to feed several hungry, salad-craving Tucsonans at once.

The Joesler Village location will have the same beloved salads as the Speedway location, much like the Asian Salad, which features a blend of organic spring mix, crunchy Chinese noodles, broccoli, snap peas, almonds, Mandarin oranges, and sweet Chinese salad dressing. For a healthier alternative to the Chinese noodles, try sunflower seeds.

Although, it’s not just the leafy greens they’ve got on the menu. They’ve got panini sandwiches, grain bowls, mac and cheese, and soups to keep your belly warm.
