The building that previously housed Cody’s Beef ‘n Beans for more than 30 years is ready for a new beginning. With that being said, and after a brief soft opening phase, Maria Bonita Mexican Kitchen is ready to host its grand opening on Sunday, June 20 at 2708 E. Fort Lowell Rd.

The 2009 recession arrived and the restaurant, which opened 20 years ago over at 5851 N. Oracle Rd., closed its doors back in 2011.

Ten years later, it’s ready to serve up its classic dishes again.

Maria Bonita Mexican Kitchen has yet to share its final menu online but made note that they’re currently working with local vendors to craft the dishes that include tacos, burritos, seafood, and other favorites found throughout and around the region.

They’re closed on Monday but are open from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday – Sunday.
