Back in 2001, chef Wendy Gauthier started her catering company in Tucson and had no idea how successful her culinary career would blossom.
Now, Gauthier is ready to celebrate her 20th anniversary by inviting the community to Chef Chic on Sunday, September 19 at 1104 S. Wilmot Rd.
The anniversary festivities will be taking flight from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and include complimentary tastings of some of Chef Chic’s most popular dishes, face painting, cornhole games, and more.
Plus, additional parking and beverages will be available for purchase at Monkey Bar located next door.
Now that she’s had a successful 20 years, including winning multiple awards in that time, Gauthier is ready for another 20 years. Recently, she was named in the AZ Star Readers Choice Awards as the “Best Caterer” for the sixth year in a row.
“This is my passion — to provide the best food in the most convenient, delicious way,” said Gauthier. “Even during this pandemic year, it has truly been a labor of love for us to be here to offer catering, grab and go, and dine-in service for all of our guests. We are so grateful for their support.”
When it comes to winning awards and earning recognition, she became the first female chef to win the title of Tucson’s Iron Chef, and in January 2020, Gauthier opened her first restaurant on Tucson’s east side.
The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday for takeout only, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Tuesday – Friday for dine-in and takeout, and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday for dine-in and takeout.
