TallBoys and La Cocina have officially reopened on the patio and inside the former Dunk Monk Pub after a successful soft opening weekend at 201 N. Court Ave.

Back in March 2020, Jo Schneider and her two sons Eli and Ben temporarily shut the doors to TallBoys, but then created the new concept dubbed as LaCo — meaning “Love and Community” — in November 2020.

“We had a beautiful soft opening and are so excited to welcome the community back into LaCo and TallBoys,” said Ben Schneider.

What’s new at 201 N. Court Ave?

The new take on the restaurant allowed them to share the beautiful patio, and in turn, serve dishes from both menus. Now, TallBoys is also nestled inside the nifty Dusty Monk spot — providing eaters some extra seating if they’re not seeking patio views.

They’re currently serving a brunch menu with half of it being La Cocina items and the other half TallBoys, while a wider menu throughout the entire restaurant is available later in the day.

With the familiar neon sign and vinyl spinning behind the bar, which has cocktails, beer, and drinks galore, walk-up counter service is what you can expect when ordering food. Outside on the patio, they’re offering table service for those enjoying their bites near the turtle and fish-filled pond.

Hours of operation

TallBoy is offering a brunch menu from 9 a.m – 3 p.m. daily, a dinner menu from 5 – 9 p.m.on Tuesday – Thursday, a dinner menu from 5 – 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and then a 3 – 5 p.m. Happy Hour on Tuesday – Saturday.
