Tony’s New York Style Italian Deli closes its doors after 40+ years in business

"We appreciate the loyalty of our customers over the last 42 years."

Tony’s New York Style Italian Deli, a local restaurant that’s been serving pizza, pasta, and subs for more than 40 years, has permanently closed its doors at 6219 E. 22nd St.

The news was shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page, thanking the public for its support over the years.

The owners were unable to be reached about the closure, but a few details were left behind in a recorded message, which can be heard when calling the restaurant’s phone number.

“It saddens me to inform you that we will be permanently closed due to the COVID restrictions, forcing us to no longer be able to do business. We appreciate the loyalty of our customers over the last 42 years. Thank you again for your loyalty.”
