Borderlands Brewing Company is in the process of opening up a new location at 2500 E. Sixth St. You may be familiar with the building because it’s the corner lot at Tucson Boulevard that previously housed the sandwich shop PJ Subs.

The sandwiches have left the building and the brews are moving in — aiming to officially open up in fall 2022.

The brewery shared the news on social media, stating that it’s “about to get a whole lot tastier.”

“We are very excited about the new location,” said Es Teran, CEO of Borderlands Brewing Company. “Brewing will not be on site but we’re planning on providing a lounge vibe with great food.”

The crew at Borderlands Brewing also announced that they’re teaming up with chef Maria Mazon of BOCA Tacos y Tequila for a brand new menu. Keep an eye out for more info on that, which will be part of a new restaurant concept set to open somewhere on the north side of town.

Planning to open up in the fall is a smart move on Borderland Brewing’s behalf, too,  being that there’s plenty of outdoor seating at the Sixth Street location. The weather will be in its prime and so will the people-watching experiences.

Other restaurants, bars, and shops in the area include Bob Dobb’s, Flora’s Market Run, Seven Cups Fine Chinese Tea, and Tumerico.

This isn’t the first move Borderlands Brewing has made in the past few years. Back in 2018, the brewery teamed up with FireTruck Brewing Company for a shared brewing space named Voltron Brewing at 330 S. Toole Ave. #200.
