According to a recent study, the folks in Finland are the world’s biggest consumers of coffee on a per-person basis. So much so that the average person drinks about four cups a day (26 pounds a year), and coffee is so popular that two 10-minute coffee breaks are legally mandated for Finnish workers.
Although, when it comes to the country (as a whole) that drinks the most coffee, the U.S. takes the top spot.
Now, there’s a new local restaurant hopping on the coffee bandwagon. Eegee’s has just released its first-ever caffeinated beverage — the Macchiato Buzz.
Here’s what the new flavor is all about, according to Eegee’s:
“It’s a silky caramel taste and is topped with crumbled cookie for an added chocolate-y crunch in every bite.”
Right now, the Macchiato Buzz is available at all locations and online in sizes Small ($3.99), Medium ($4.99), Large ($5.99). Plus, if you’re really crawling around sluggishly inside a bubble of lethargy, a Bigee size is also on the menu for $6.99.
If you’re not a fan of milk, don’t let the worrying thought cross your mind because the frozen liquid portion of the drink is said to be dairy-free.
A couple of months ago, Tucsonans were surprised to hear that Eegee’s, for the first time, will be planning to expand outside of the state.
The restaurant, which has been quickly expanding its restaurant brand over the years, announced that the industry veteran Jason Vaughn has been appointed as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Vaughn will succeed Ron Petty, who served as the restaurant’s chairman for a decade before becoming CEO in 2019.
