Forget 99 bottles of beer on the wall because there are hundreds of craft beer events happening all over The Grand Canyon State. Arizona Beer Week is brewing strong in its eleventh season and there are plenty of celebrations in Tucson — hosted by local breweries, craft beer bars, and restaurants — to enjoy.
This year’s events include new beer releases, anniversaries, the epic return of the Tucson Craft Beer Crawl, and more from Thursday, February 16 – Sunday, February 26.

Thursday, February 23 – Foeder Sour Flights, new bottle releases, and 10% off to-go beers
Sunday, February 26 – They’ll be hosting another Michelda Contest from noon – 3 p.m. Tony will defend his title against two other Crooked Tooth Brewing employees. Come buy a flight, and vote for your favorite!
The brewery is celebrating another well-deserved anniversary at its downtown/Fourth Avenue location. The following anniversary events are happening:

Sunday, February 19 – A local arts and crafts
Each day holds a different event revolving around beer and new merch releases. Also, don’t forget that The BlackTop Grill is on-site and serving up delicious grub.

Friday, February 17 – Funk N Sour night is about playing the best Funk ‘n Soul music to get everyone grooving for a new 1912 Sour Beer release
Saturday, February 18 – ¡Fuerte! beer release
Sunday, February 19 – Yoga Class and a Pint: Tickets are $15 which include an hour-long yoga session, a pint of 1912 beer or N/A beverage, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Yoga Project.
Wednesday, February 22 – Find The Flavor: Enjoy a tasting of three 1912 brews and learn to distinguish the difference in flavors, terms, and identify off-flavors.
Thursday, February 23 – Try a flight of three different dark beers and Girl Scout cookies.
Saturday, February 15 – The brewery is leading the group ride “On The Loop” right off Grant Road and Forbes Boulevard. Meet up is at 1912 Brewing Company.

The Arizona Strong Beer Festival is moving to a new location for 2023. The annual event will take place Saturday, Feb. 18 from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, 7555 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale.
Craft brews from more than 130 different breweries from all over Arizona and across the country will be on tap to sample during the event. Tucson breweries include 1912 Brewing Company, Barrio Brewing Company, Crooked Tooth Brewing Company, Dillinger Brewing Company, FireTruck Brewing Company, and MotoSonora Brewing Company.
Downtown Tucson will soon be “crawling” with Arizona craft brewers and beer lovers for the annual Tucson Craft Beer Crawl (TCBC) from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 25.
Newly produced by the Tucson Foodie team, the finale event for Arizona Beer Week will expand with over 25 brewers and 10 venues, aiming to raise funds for the non-profit organization Watershed Management Group.
At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
