Super Rad Pizza Party With Wine Pairings at ‘Shirt Shop’

June 7, 2023
By Matt Sterner

It’s been said before that pizza is the perfect party food. Everyone gets a slice, you can toss different toppings on it to accommodate several people, and it sometimes makes you feel like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle — for their love of pizza and not necessarily for being skilled in martial arts.

Pearly Baker Fermentables is hosting a California Wine and Pizza Party from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at 100 E. Congress St. (the future Shirt Shop location).

Each ticket is $35 per person and includes four glasses of wine, four slices of pizza, and tunes from a local DJ. Chef Tommy, known for his culinary greatness at Sushi on Oracle and Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, is tossing up dough from Barrio Bread to make mesquite-fired pies.

The four slices of pizza will be a Margherita, Three Sisters, Hot Honey & Pepperoni, and White Sauce with Mushrooms & Truffle Oil. Then, the four glasses of California wines will be a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Zinfandel.

For Foodie 500 members, keep an eye out for an email from us including an exclusive offer on this event.

Additionally, Pearly Baker Fermentables will be providing deals on bottles and cases, and a friendly darts competition will be goin’ down.

Shirt Shop is not quite open yet but keep an eye out and follow them online for any future announcements.

Shirt Shop is located at 100 E. Congress St. For more information about this event, visit pearlybakerfermentables.square.site.
