Fiesta Filipina Permanently Closes its Park Place Mall Location

Earlier this week, Thelma Ward of Fiesta Filipina announced that Sunday, June 18 was the last day to order dishes like Lumpia, Adobo, Beef Caldereta, and more at the Park Place Mall.

But fear not, this is not the end of Fiesta Filipina. Ward shared the following on Facebook:

“Unfortunately, the cost to operate the store is no longer sustainable. I will still be operating the Fiesta Filipina food trailer for special events and catering so watch for our events schedule. Thank you all for your support.”

The food trailer was actually the original Fiesta Filipina concept before moving into the Park Place Mall. Since the beginning, Ward has had a goal of not only serving authentic Filipino food but also educating others on her heritage.

Tasting her dishes reveals the combination of Spanish and East Asian influences that make up the unique canvas of flavors in Filipino cuisine and its culture.

So, keep an eye out for the food trailer. Word on the street is that they’ll be at the Town of Marana’s Star Spangled Spectacular on Tuesday, July 4. The big event takes place at Crossroads Park, located at 7548 N. Silverbell Road.
