Most recently, Chef Smith was the longtime Executive Chef for Maynards. A graduate of Pima Community College, Chef Brian has more than 15 years of fine dining experience, cooking under renowned Michelin Star Chef Daniel Patterson in San Francisco, then working under James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef Sean Brock in South Carolina.

“I am thrilled to join the Forty Niner team and bring a fresh spark to the food, beverage, and hospitality at this beautiful country club and to the people of the Eastside of Tucson,” said Chef Smith.

Chef Smith will lead the menu development and operations of the Rincon Mountain Grill’s casual, fine dining, and event catering menus. He will also oversee the offerings at the upcoming all new-bar located at Forty Niner Country Club with new craft cocktails, locally sourced dinner options, and weekly live music.

More About the Forty Niner Country Club

The Country Club, a William Francis Bell-designed classic, is an established club on the eastern side of Tucson. The semi-private facility is inviting to golfers of all skill levels with the traditional layout and gently rolling terrain which allows members the option to walk the course.

Nestled between the Catalina and Rincon Mountains, the course meanders along a wooded riverbed with fairways lined by mature trees and native desert shrubbery. The golf course provides a visually inviting 18-hole course layout while providing a solid challenge for all players. Recent course renovations have only improved an already outstanding experience.

Forty Niner Country Club is located at 12000 E. Tanque Verde Rd. For more information, visit fortyninercc.com and follow Forty Niner Country Club on Instagram and on Facebook
