Tuxon Chix is Now Open, Serving Chicken Sandwiches, Wings & More

"Welcome to our Cluck’n Nest!"

There’s a new chicken sandwich joint in town.

Last week, Tuxon Chix opened to the public at 5524 E. Grant Rd. — the building once housed Chick-In Waffle and also Riliberto’s fast-food Mexican restaurant.

On the restaurant’s exterior, Local muralist Joe Pagac painted a nifty chicken-themed mural for the new restaurant so it ought to be easy to find when cruising down Grant Road.

The menu consists of chicken sandwiches — AKA Cluckin’ Classics — including The Tuxon (crispy chicken, their signature Tuxon sauce, lettuce, and sweet pickled relish), Hot Honey, The Buffalo, and The Wildcat, which is chicken, spicy mayo, bacon, tomato, red onions, Hatch green chili, lettuce, and pepper jack cheese.

There’s also a Tikka Masala sandwich that’s crispy chicken doused in a house tikka masala sauce.

Additionally, they’re serving bone-in and boneless wings, jumbo tenders that come in groups of two, three, and four, and then some lighter bites like a Caeser Salad and Buffalo Chicken Salad — each one of these can be served as a wrap, too.

There’s a whole group of sides as well — the Side Chix. Fries, garlic truffle fries, cheese curds, mac and cheese, and empanadas a plenty!

Lastly, there’s a kid’s menu for the “little cluckers” in your life and desserts like brownies and cookies. Try the Cluck’n Belgian Waffle and you won’t regret it (unless you dislike dessert). This thing is topped with caramelized sugar, vanilla ice cream, and Ghiradelli chocolate sauce. It’s rufflin’ some feathers — in a good way.

The new restaurant is currently open daily from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and you can see the full menu online.

Tuxon Chix is located at 5524 E. Grant Rd. For more information, follow Tuxon Chix on Instagram.
