Seis Kitchen is planning to open a brand-new location on the east side at La Plaza Shoppes, which is right behind Sakura at 6530 E. Tanque Verde Rd.
Owners Erika and Jake Muñoz plan to open the new spot by mid to late spring, bringing another dining option to the bustling area. In recent years, restaurants like Zio Peppe and Noodleholics have debuted to diners, while The Cork and UnCork’d Kitchen & Cocktails have refreshed existing concepts.
“We are beyond grateful to be expanding our local restaurant concept, and continuing to grow in the community that has supported us for the past 13 years,” said Erika. “It’s been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing team and loyal guests.”
Chances are you’ve seen the long line that forms at the Mercado San Agustin location or grabbed a bite at the other two locations on River Road and/or Oracle Road. The new location will have the same menu as the other three, which are known for their birria tacos and commitment to quality.
Also, Erika and Jake make it a point to use only local or regional beef, sustainably sourced fish and seafood, and naturally raised/antibiotic-free poultry to name just a few.
“We are so very excited for what ahead,” said Erika. “We can’t wait to bring our made-from-scratch cuisine, handmade cocktails, and fun atmosphere to the east side community. This expansion means the world to us.”
Stay tuned for updates, sneak peeks, and progress reports.
