Wee-ooo, wee-ooo, wee-ooo! Wing alert, wing alert!

Holy mole, love is in the air, and I’m in love with the wings I ate. So many fun events happened this month including the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, multiple gem shows, Tucson Craft Beer Crawl, and the rodeo.

I was devouring wings every step of the way.

Food Truck

This brand-new food truck is usually parked outside of TraXide Taproom/in front of the historic Coronado Hotel. Having just sampled all the finest local craft beer with the Tucson Craft Beer Crawl, I ended with some of the best wings I’ve eaten in a long time.

The food truck specializes in local Sonoran flavors including elote, mole, and el pastor. I tried all three! I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor of the meat, the crispiness, and the unique flavors and tastes of each sauce.

My favorite is the elote sauce, which is also their number one seller. Only Wings would get my money if they had a subscription.

This quaint, brand-new, Mexican restaurant is serving some delicious food and the wings did not disappoint.

Their mole wings were served on their custom-branded wooden cutting board. The presentation was a 10! The wings had that great mole flavor of a semi-sweet rich and slightly spicy chocolate sauce.

The group I was with enjoyed everything they ate — we’ll be returning soon to taste more of their menu.

Jaime’s is a great pizza restaurant located downtown and you must try their baked wings.

During the Super Bowl, they collaborated with Desert Shark for a new very spicy wing sauce: the Desert Shark Bite. The meat was even better this time around — perfectly baked and a nice charred crust. They lathered the wings in that Desert Shark sauce, making them way more enjoyable than the actual “big game.”

While everyone was bored with the game, I was having the time of my life chomping down on those wings.
