Seoul Shi officially opened in Tucson after a soft opening during the week of Jan. 5. The restaurant now operates at 6462 N. Oracle Rd.
The space previously housed Kampai Sushi, which quietly closed in late 2025. Kampai operated at that location for over 13 years. Seoul Shi now brings a more contemporary energy to the address.
Owner Joyce Jin leads the concept. Regulars may recognize her as the hands-on owner from eight minutes south at her other business in Tucson, Kotu Korean BBQ.
Jin brings more than 30 years of restaurant experience to Seoul Shi. In addition, Jin plans to open a Korean street food restaurant and a dedicated soju bar in Tucson. Seoul Shi marks her latest expansion in the local dining scene.
Seoul Shi blends Japanese sushi with Korean comfort dishes. The menu includes sushi rolls, sashimi, donburi, soups, fried dishes, and Korean entrees.
Specialty rolls anchor the sushi menu. The Lollipop Roll wraps salmon, tuna, and yellowtail wrapped in cucumber. The Reverse Rainbow features salmon, bluefin tuna, and yuzu ponzu. Heat seekers often choose the Tiger Roll with spicy crab and shrimp tempura.
Donburi bowls include chirashi, eel, and marinated salmon. Korean entrees range from bulgogi to spicy braised black cod.
Seoul Shi stands apart in Tucson for one key reason: it currently serves Korean raw marinated crab, also known as ganjang gejang. The menu also includes marinated raw head shrimp.
Drinks Include sake, soju, beer, fountain drinks, and hot green tea.
Seoul Shi is located at 6462 N. Oracle Rd. For more information, visit seoul-shi.com. Keep up with Seoul Shi on Instagram.
