New-to-Me Week encourages Tucson diners to try something different for 12 Weeks of Foodie Summer

Jun 30, 20262 min read

Burger Week wraps July 5, and New-to-Me Week takes over July 6 through 12 as part of the 12 Weeks of Foodie Summer campaign.

The week encourages diners to step outside their comfort zone and try a restaurant, dish, or drink they have never experienced before. As with every themed week this summer, participants can upload receipts at summer.tucsonfoodie.com for a chance to win weekly prizes and earn entries into the grand prize drawing at the end of August.

Week 6 Winners

Here are the winners from Happy Hour Week:

  • Libby wins a $50 gift card to North Italia
  • Keely Davis wins a ticket to America’s Best Mexican Food Festival
  • arts_primacy_2c wins a four-pack of passes to Cool Summer Nights at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
  • donita3000 wins a $20 gift card to Ghini’s French Caffe
  • Nancy Millman wins a $100 Visa gift card
  • Gabriella wins a $100 Visa gift card

Participating restaurants and specials

More venues and deals will be added throughout the week. Check back for updates.

Arizona Wine Collective

Arizona Wine Collective features new-to-me wines on its tasting menu all week. The lineup includes a Petit Manseng white, a Blanc de Noir rosé, an orange-style wine, and an Aglianico red. Stop in to try something outside your usual pour at the local wine bar.

Holy Focaccia

Holy Focaccia takes 10% off orders of $20 or more when customers mention Tucson Foodie at the time of purchase.

Prizes

This week’s prize pool includes:

  • Salsa, Taco, and Tequila Challenge tickets
  • $100 Visa gift card
  • El Jefe Cat Lounge pass
  • $20 Ghini’s gift card
  • Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum passes

How to participate

Snap a photo of a qualifying receipt from a participating New-to-Me Week venue, then upload it at summer.tucsonfoodie.com. Each receipt earns an entry for that week’s prizes and rolls over into the grand prize pool.

@Pueblovida is closing its original downtown taproom this fall, 12 years after opening, and moving next door to a larger space at 121 E. Broadway Blvd.

The new taproom will seat 100+ guests and feature 14 taps, a curated wine program and, for the first time, a restaurant. Chef Scott Girod of @Anello_pizzeria will open a new restaurant in the shared space, expected to follow the taproom’s late fall 2026 opening in early 2027.

“This taproom has always been more than four walls. It’s where we’ve celebrated milestones, introduced hundreds of new beers, watched friendships grow and built a community we’re incredibly grateful for. While we’re excited about what’s next, it’s impossible not to feel sentimental about saying goodbye to the place where it all happened.” — @Pueblovida Co-founder Linette Antillon
