Ever notice the unused wood-fired pizza oven at Cartel Coffee Lab downtown?
Cartel is finally putting it back into use thanks to a partnership with local pizzeria Pizza Luna.
On the last Wednesday of every month (except December), Cartel downtown will have Pizza Luna staff on site selling pizzas and salad starting at 5 p.m. Open mic is from 7 – 10 p.m., where you can purchase Arizona beer and craft wine at happy hour prices.
“We are starting slowly with just the one event each month, but might be partnering with them on other events in the future,” said Marc Frankel, co-owner of Pizza Luna. “They have a huge wood-fired bread oven in the space and it works beautifully with our slow cold fermented dough.”
Open Mic Nights with Pizza Luna Menu
- Neapolitan ($12) – San Marzano tomatoes, house-made fior di latte, chopped garlic, extra-virgin olive oil
- Bianca ($11) – fresh ricotta, grande mozzarella, chopped garlic, extra-virgin olive oil
- Traditional ($11) – house-made tomato sauce, grande mozzarella
- Caesar Salad ($11) – mild radicchio, Little Gem lettuces, house-made croutons, garlic anchovy dressing, grated Grana Padano
Cartel Coffee Lab Downtown is located at 210 E. Broadway Blvd. Keep up with Cartel Coffee Lab on Facebook.
