Casa Valencia Seafood Bar & Grill quietly closed its second location at 2660 N. Campbell Ave., which previously held Yoshimatsu Healthy Japanese Eatery.
Although Casa Valencia posted no updates of the closure on Facebook, they confirmed over the phone Monday afternoon that the restaurant had permanently closed.
However, one of Tucson’s most popular restaurants from half-a-mile away plans to move in: Prep & Pastry.
The original Prep & Pastry plans to move from its 2,700-square-foot space at 3073 N. Campbell Ave. into the new 4,000-square-foot space around late summer.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to move into a larger space,” said Nathan Ares, partner at Prep & Pastry. “We’ll be able to host bridal parties and baby showers like we used to. And we’ll have more parking and a shorter wait.”
Prep & Pastry’s second location at 6450 E. Grant Rd. Ste. 160 opened in July 2016.
