Cup It Up American Grill has announced the opening of its second location’s doors on April 1.
The Main Gate Square space at 760 N. Tyndall Ave. formerly housed Silver Mine Subs.
Menu offerings will remain exactly the same, but with the addition of beer and wine.
“Main Gate Square and the University area was actually our first choice when we originally conceived Cup It Up,” said founder and owner Chris Smith. “That didn’t end up working out at the time, but now that we’ve been able to work out our kinks, this locations fits our model really well.”
The Cup It Up concept allows customers to choose from an assortment of proteins, a base of greens or grains, and toppings, which include grilled or chilled vegetables, sauces, and dressings. Lastly, customers can choose from “superfoods” such as avocado, blueberries, and chia seeds. All of the ingredients are then served in a cup. Alternatively, guests can request a tray.
Cup It Up’s first location opened in January of 2016 at 1101 N. Wilmot Rd. The restaurant is owned by Chris Smith along with partners Jay Warren and Julian Alarcon.
