“Tucson Day” is celebrated annually on May 20 as a nod to Tucson’s 520 area code.
The official day is behind us, but thanks to Pueblo Vida Brewing Company you still have a great way to raise a glass to Tucson (but you have to act fast). This Tucson brewery crafted a brand new Hazy IPA in honor of the big day, and aptly named the brew 520.
The Pueblo Vida team used Citra, El Dorado, and Mandarin Bavaria hops to wallop this IPA with citrus notes reminiscent of orange and grapefruit zest, which is nicely balanced by the creamy mouthfeel of a classic hazy. Pueblo Vida says 520 Hazy IPA “pairs well with taco trucks, hiking Tumamoc, and sunset views at Gates Pass.”
520 hits the happy hour target at 6.5% ABV and is available on draft and in cans at the brewery taproom as well as your favorite craft beer bars. I’d bet you a burrito that 520 will be gone quicker than a jackrabbit, so hop to it.
