Food Network is seeking restaurant chefs and cooks to cast for its show Guy’s Grocery Games with host Guy Fieri.
Each episode features four chefs gather ingredients in a grocery store to cook a dish assigned by Fieri while he presents obstacles and challenges. The winner competes in a bonus round where they can win up to $20,000.
Contestants will dedicate one to two days for filming in early 2017 in Santa Rosa, California. Travel costs and accommodations are covered by production.
Casting is currently open for the following episode themes:
- Grill Masters – pro chefs with unique skills and perspective on grilling, not barbecue
- Guilty Pleasures – pro chefs with unique skills and perspective on guilty pleasures, sinful decadence and “cheat day” foods
- Throwbacks – pro chefs with a unique perspective on retro throwback favorites, vintage classics redone
- Spicy & Spicier – pro chefs with a unique perspective on the spiciest foods on the planet!
- Halloween – pro chefs with a unique perspective that ties into Halloween
- Thanksgiving – pro chefs with a unique perspective that ties into Thanksgiving
- Superfans – cooks and chefs who are huge fans of the show and show judges
- Station Chefs, Chef de Partie, Line Cooks, Commis – chefs and cooks from every part of a pro kitchen
- Rising Stars – young chefs ages 18 to 21 who already have accolades and/or incredible talent in the kitchen
