Starting November 7, Interfaith Community Services (ICS) will host weekly Free Produce Giveaway events across Tucson. The series runs through May 2026 and offers rescued produce and groceries at no cost to anyone in need.
Each event takes place at one of six Tucson locations. Participants can drive through to receive food without any documentation. Volunteers staff every giveaway.
Fighting Food Insecurity and Reducing Waste
ICS partners with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to distribute thousands of pounds of rescued produce. The goal is to reduce food waste while helping local families stretch their budgets.
“These events are a vital way to connect surplus produce with people who need it,” said Josh Hennings, ICS senior program manager for food distribution. “They reduce food waste, support families facing food insecurity, and show the power of community coming together to care for one another.”
When and Where to Go
Dates, times, and locations vary monthly. Tucson residents can visit the ICS Free Produce Giveaway page for the latest schedule.
Attendees can expect a simple drive-through experience. Volunteers load boxes of fresh produce and other grocery staples directly into vehicles.
Support the Ongoing Food Drive
While the produce giveaways begin in November, ICS’s annual Fall Food Drive continues through October 31. Community members can donate food or funds to support ongoing hunger relief. Learn more at icstucson.org/fallfood.
