Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is reuniting with Broadway Boulevard. And, the grand opening begins tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.
With free donuts at stake, expect a line. Registration for the line will begin tonight at 5 p.m. the night before the opening, but customers have been reported to camp out days earlier for other openings.
The first registered customer through the door will receive a punch card for one dozen free original glazed doughnuts every week for one year. The next 99 registered customers to get through the door will receive a punch card for one dozen free original glazed doughnuts every month for one year.
The El Con Mall location closed almost a decade ago in 2006. The new location is just east of Craycroft Road at 5621 East Broadway Blvd.
This will be the first location in Tucson since 2011 when three other locations were closed. Franchisee Hot Glazed Enchantment Inc. is opening and running this location. Hot Glazed is a separate franchisee from the locations that opened in Tucson in the past and has no information regarding prior closures, according to senior operations manager Lisa Hignite.
