The local franchisee for Mexican fast food chain La Salsa has closed all their Tucson locations.
Although no information was available from the franchisee, La Salsa’s corporate office in Scottsdale responded via email:
“[…]Unfortunately, we don’t have details to share about the store closures in Tucson. The franchisee, who operates as an independent business owner, made the ‘close’ decision – likely having to weigh a lot of difficult and complex facts. We’re always sorry when a store closure impacts our customers in the area, and in time, we will set our sights on opening locations sometime in the future[…]”
La Salsa originally opened in Los Angeles in 1979, then expanded with locations in Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada.
The two remaining La Salsa locations in Tucson were at 1021 N. Wilmot Rd. and 3007 E. Speedway Blvd.
