Fourth Avenue bars Maloney’s Tavern and The Wreck at 213 N. Fourth Ave. were fenced off Tuesday morning with their signs removed.
Although neither bar posted announcements of closure, they both posted teasers of relocating to music venue The Rock.
Maloney’s posted the following on Tuesday afternoon:
Getting the new venue setup is taking a bit longer than expected. Turn up Tuesday’s [sic] will be back very soon!! Stay tuned…..
The Wreck posted the same text along with a video stating “The Wreck’s Moving to The Rock.” It also mentioned it will be “funner, divier,” and “honky tonkier.”
None of the involved parties could be reached via phone for comment.
