Earlier this month, Hilton debuted its new restaurant concept, Moonsong Bar + Café, in Louisville, Kentucky — a partnership between Bluestone Lane and Hilton’s hotel brand, Tempo.
The restaurant is part of the “radical development” plans, under the name of Uptown, happening at the former Foothills Mall on La Cholla Boulevard.

The Moonson Bar + Café will be located inside a five-story hotel — Tempo by Hilton Tucson — and construction crews will start chipping away by the end of the year.
Tempo will be built right “in the middle of the old mall” and the restaurant will have a nice view of the Catalina Mountains. “We really favor density for this site,” said Dillon Walker, Director of Marketing. “It’ll be a game-changer, a second urban node for Tucson.”
“Moonsong Bar + Café leverages the strength of Hilton’s hospitality and Bluestone Lane’s acclaimed coffee recipes to create a unique dining experience,” said Adam Crocini, Senior Vice President of Hilton. “Guests can look forward to enjoying a variety of healthful and satisfying options, transitioning seamlessly from energizing morning meals to relaxing evening drinks, including signature cocktails from the Tempo brand.”
Also, that’s not the only restaurant moving into the five-story building. Hilton is planning on having around 31,000 square feet of space on the first floor — they’re aiming to have more restaurants in that area.
It’s still a long road ahead for the Tempo by Hilton Tucson and its Moonsong Bar + Café. However, we should start seeing some moves soon.
Also, as a reminder, restaurants surrounding the former Foothills Mall are still up and running and they’d love your business. Sushi Garden, Tamarind, Pappoule’s, Whiskey Roads, Ding Tea, and AMC Theatres (they have popcorn and other snacks) are open during construction.

Matt Sterner
More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
