The Noches de Penca dining series continues at Penca with its latest six-course “El Porfiriato” dinner at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 16.
Since the restaurant opened in Downtown Tucson, Penca has been taking different angles to Mexico City-inspired cuisine, but with new executive chef David Solorzano, his inspiration veers off into the influences of Central Mexico.
However, this time around he’s focusing on the “El Porfiriato.” It’s the 30-year period of Mexican history that was heavily influenced by European culture, and in turn, became a part of the Mexican culture.
To complement the excellent courses crafted by Solorzano, the Beverage Director, Bryan Eichhorst, lending a hand with perfectly paired glasses of wine.
Seats are $120 per person or $80 if you’d rather not have the wine pairings. The menu has yet to be released, but you can reserve your spots now online or by calling (520) 203-7681.
