If you’re looking to step into the new year with the fullest of bellies, make your reservation as soon as you can at The Coronet.

Over at 198 W. Cushing St., the menu looks absolutely decadent and worth every penny. For example, choose the Fresh Mushroom Soup to kick things off before you dive into the Tartare of Angus Beef with Tonnato. Also, if you can, splurge for the wine pairings.

Plus, The Coronet will be offering free coffee and toast to all who attend, and a tasty Riesling Zero for non-alcohol drinkers will be on hand, too.

They’ll also be having live jazz by Naïm Amor, Thøger Lund, and Ben DeGain from 5 – 8 p.m. in the dining room. Then, from 8 – 11 p.m., and then even more live jams by Golden Boots and Ruby Plains on the patio.

Seats are the dinner are $120 per person and $170 with wine pairings.

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors. Guests will also enjoy a cocktail reception, Mijenta Tequila pairings, and a Q&A with both chefs. The event begins at 6:30 pm at @Pier57.nyc. And if you’re at their Sundance Café for breakfast, get the pozole. It’s made from a family recipe that became such a guest favorite it earned a permanent spot on the menu. 

Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona. 

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. 🌵🌞
