At 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, Red Desert BBQ & Catering announced that it will close its doors.
While the brand will come to an end, co-owner and pitmaster David Martin isn’t done with barbecue. The business posted on their Facebook page Friday morning:
Hello bbq fans. I want to start off by saying thank you for your support and patronage over the last 21 months. Red Desert BBQ has seen great growth and we have met numerous people who have touched our lives. It is with a sad face and happy heart that I announce that we will be closing our doors on July 20th at 4:00pm. This is the end of Red Desert BBQ but not the end of our great BBQ. It’s just the first step in our journey to Boulevard BBQ and partnership with Serial Grillers. The new store owners have a concept that really fits this area well and I’m sure will have great success. Once again come in before the end of July 20th to get your Red Desert BBQ fix.
Thank you all again for your support and we look forward to seeing you before our closing.
While Martin hasn’t revealed the new owners of the Red Desert space yet, he seems optimistic.
