Tucson restaurants closing up shop for Summer 2022

Jul 1, 20226 min read

While the warmer days of summer mean “ramp-up time” for restaurants in many cities, industry folk here in Tucson are accustomed to the opposite. As students and snowbirds go on sabbatical, many restaurant owners have created a habit of following suit, closing up shop from days to months.

Whether giving their teams time to refresh or using the time to freshen up their space, we thought it would be nice to spread the word on those we’re aware of and invite you to use their summer break as an extra excuse to try somewhere new.

Keep in mind that some of these dates are subject to change.

Barista Del Barrio

1002 N. Grande Ave.

The Barista Del Barrio crew will see you again on Saturday, July 16.

Ceres

77 W. Washington St.

There’s no exact date on when the downtown shop will open, but their plans are to welcome in noodle fans in the fall. Luckily, their other concept, Noodies, is there to hold you over until then.

Ceres is closed for summer, but our sister restaurant @noodiestucson will stay open all summer with the homemade pasta and sauces that you love plus more.  And, of course, rotating soft-serve gelato. Noodies is open Thursday-Sunday 11 – 8 p.m. and Monday 11 – 3 p.m. Indoor and outdoor seating, fast-casual environment, and online ordering!
