The Melting Pot at Foothills Mall Closes Indefinitely

The Melting Pot at Foothills Mall Closes Indefinitely

May 30, 20171 min read

Fondue lovers will need a moment.

Tampa, Florida-based fondue restaurant The Melting Pot has closed their Tucson location in the Foothills Mall at 7395 N. La Cholla Blvd., Ste 302 indefinitely as of Monday, May 29.

The Melting Pot’s Tucson website announced the following:

ā€œ[…] We appreciate the opportunity to have served the Tucson community for over 13 years at this location. While there are no confirmed plans to re-open this location, The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc., has a strong interest to return to the Tucson community in the future.

The franchisee plans to seek a new site in Tucson to better serve the market and bring The Melting Pot’s exciting new store concept design to the marketplace. No replacement site has been secured at this time.

We invite you to continue to enjoy fondue at the nearest Melting Pot locations in the Phoenix metro area, including Ahwatukee, Scottsdale and Arrowhead.

Diners seeking a local fondue option can visit Wild Garlic Grill for the Gilroy Garlic Swiss Fondue with Fresh-Baked Sourdough Bread orĀ DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails for theĀ Grilled Garlic + Mushroom BreadĀ with leek fondue.

Opened in 2023, @kabulcorner is Tucson’s only Afghan restaurant, created to provide jobs, community, and a taste of home for Afghan families who made Tucson their new home.

Today, Sediq Haidari and his family serve traditional Afghan dishes like bolani, mantou, Kabuli palaw, fresh tandoori naan, and house-made chaka, while preserving recipes and traditions rooted in Afghanistan’s rich history.

With its warm hospitality, authentic food, and strong sense of community, Kabul Corner has become a little piece of home in the Sonoran Desert. ā¤ļø

ā€œThese dishes are famous not only in Afghanistan, but in neighboring countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iran, and even parts of China. It sits right between Indian and Arabic food.ā€ Sediq Haidari
